Youth with Disabilities: A Maine Workforce Development Review
This publication is a result of a review of the disability and workforce development literature, as well as interviews with successful workforce development programs in Maine that focus on connecting youth with disabilities with meaningful work-related training and experiences. Several themes emerged, including the importance of youth building self-determination skills, finding a strong connection to caring adults, and participating in work-based learning experiences.
